About

Giselle Kennedy

My name is Giselle Kennedy. I made my first short film several years ago while earning a degree in Media Studies at the University of San Francisco – it was about a little art house in the city, founded and operated by a small group of fantastically quirky artists. Perhaps it was then that I realized that the best thing about filmmaking was the possibility of taking a closer look at the magnificent things that occur and the extraordinary people that exist all around us, every day.

A lot has happened since then, namely the development of my love affair with all things food + farms, several incredible overseas adventures and a migration to the Pacific Northwest. Motivated by a desire to tell stories about the things I care about, I specialize in projects with a focus on food, agriculture and conservation in the Northwest and throughout the world. I work with individuals, companies and organizations wishing to tell their story, educate their audience, or promote a particular practice. Alongside these inspiring people, I aim to engage communities and individuals in discussions about our role on this big, beautiful earth.

As I live out my own love story, I find myself drawn more and more to capturing great love stories in creative ways – whether it’s a stop-motion save-the-date or a crafty, alternative wedding video. Video gives us the potential to share not just a story but a mood, a feeling, an idea, and I relish any opportunity to bring those things to life.

I’ve been dancing all my life, I grew up in MTV’s golden days, and before I got into film, I wanted to be a costume designer. So, naturally, I love making music videos. Whether it’s hip-hop, bluegrass, indie rock, or anything in-between (except maybe death metal), I’m excited about it!

I am available for hire as a producer, videographer, editor and/or photographer. If you think I am a good fit for a project you have in mind, please contact me at giselle[at]gkennedycreative.com or fill out the contact form on this site.
